Farm to Fork on Tuesday 23rd June in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh kicked off the 15th anniversary celebrations of Edinburgh Farmers' Market. It was hugely successful with over 10,000 attending the five hour event.
Well known foodie and advocate of organic and sustainable farming, The Duke of Rothesay (Prince Charles) alongside the Duchess stopped by over lunch-time, chatted to the producers and chefs and sampled many of the foods on offer.
The weekly market on Castle Terrace brought along a selection of fantastic producers to showcase the wealth of locally produced food available from Edinburgh's original farmers' market. Alongside the market producers were four top Edinburgh Chefs; Neil Forbes, Mark Greenaway, Victor and Carina Contini and Ed and Dale from the Gardener's Cottage. They produced a £3 taster lunch using the fabulous fresh produce from Edinburgh Farmers' Market Producers.
