Manor Farm was built in 1882 as a 'model farm'....it was completely self contained, with rearing houses, a dairy and a slaughterhouse. These days the centre of the farm is the farm shop and farmhouse kitchen.
The business is open 7 days a week (9am-6pm Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday). The farm shop offers a wide variety of homemade and local produce including rare breed meat from the farm, ready meals, vegetables and fruit, cakes, jams & chutneys, beers and wines, cheese, ice cream and a selection of 'foodie' gifts too.
The Farmhouse Kitchen serves food from 9am - 4pm (10am on Sundays). Everything is made on site using produce from the farm wherever possible, including meals like Cottage Pie, Beef Lasagne, Liver & Bacon Casserole and our popular Manor Farm Burger! We also serve hot drinks, cakes and cream teas all day as well as our traditional roast lunches on Sundays using meat from the farm.
We host several events throughout the year including our 'Open Farm Sunday', where we open up the farm to the local community. We hold free children's arts & crafts workshops every Thursday morning for local mums and dads to bring their little ones to get creative!
We have animals for customers to see too, including our rare breed, Leicester Longwool sheep, British Lop pigs and British White Cattle (and chickens, ducks and horses too).
