White House Farm Shop

Whitehouse Farm started life as a family run PYO farm near Norwich. It has however gone through something of a transformation during the last eight months. They now have a new farm shop selling their own home grown fruit and vegetables, supported by produce which has been sourced locally from carefully chosen suppliers. The new cafe is actually sited in an old pig sty and the delicious cakes are made using their own eggs, in fact the customers can often see the hens scratching about in the car park! A new butchery has also been developed in the old blacksmiths shed with all the meat being sourced from the immediate locality which is not always an easy task in Norfolk.

“Lovely shop and café; so much has been achieved in a short period of time. The ethos of the business and branding is very strong. This is a business to watch closely in the future.”

Sally Jackson

Whitehouse Farm runs educational visits and school activities and once a month they have their own farmers’ market giving their customers an opportunity to meet the suppliers of the local brands that they support through their regular purchases.

The judges were impressed by how much had been achieved in such a very short time. With the ethos and branding of the business being so strong, this is obviously one to watch very closely in the future.
