Farndon Fields Farm Shop

Only opened less than a year ago the new Farmer’s Kitchen at Farndon Fields Farm Shop at Market Harborough is always busy. Kevin and Millie Stokes have been slowly expanding their business for many  ears and simply out grew their old coffee shop, calling for the new extension.

Our judge said: “This is a really good family business with great fruit and veg. The small butchery adds to the experience as does the deli counter. They have a separate production kitchen producing an expanding range. The new restaurant has enabled this excellent family business to grow rapidly in all areas. The quality and range of their home-grown vegetables are second to none.”

As you enter the Farm Shop you see an amazing display of very fresh fruit and vegetables which is second to none. Most of these are grown on the farm by Kevin and this sets the scene for the new Restaurant where the menu majors on fresh home grown produce coupled with local meat and added value products from the shops own butchery section. Customers are even told what variety of potatoes are being served!

The interesting design of the restaurant with its wood burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere and customers are reassured by being able to see into the open kitchen where skilled chefs create adventive dishes which are served by friendly staff. The judges also liked seeing a second separate production kitchen creating many dishes and cakes from the farms own array of produce. This exciting new addition to Farndon Fields can only go on growing.
