Wednesday 22nd May

Peterley Manor Farm

Creative Event Spaces & Diversification - lessons from Peterley Manor Farm

Wednesday 22nd May: 10am - 3.30pm

A family run farm set in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. The Brill family have been farming at Peterley for over 35 years and have gradually built what is today a thriving award-winning Farm Shop, Pick Your Own, Nursery, Christmas tree farm, and is home to The Wild Strawberry Café (housed in a 30 ft Mongolian yurt).

They are long standing champions of local produce and aim to support local producers helping them gain exposure through their shop, café and events.
In recent years the farm has diversified increasingly into an events venue, making use of unusual spaces including yurts and greenhouses to host hundreds of private parties, food festivals, supper clubs, workshops and cinemas.

The farm is located in AONB and green belt and stringent planning controls have meant development has taken both patience and creative thinking- re-using existing structures whilst following consumer trends and harnessing the power of social media.

The day will look at how Peterley Manor Farm has evolved and seen changes as the next generation have entered the business. There will also be a presentation from Limehouse Board about alternatives to plastic packaging.
